{"id":1179,"date":"2025-09-19T14:25:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T11:25:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pifgreece.gr\/?p=1179"},"modified":"2025-10-09T12:00:00","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T09:00:00","slug":"pif_at_bio3forum2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pifgreece.gr\/en\/news\/pif_at_bio3forum2025\/","title":{"rendered":"PIF actively participated in the Bio3 Forum 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PhARMA Innovation (PIF)<\/strong> made a strong presence at the <strong>Bio3 Forum 2025 on Biotechnology, Bioinformatics &amp; Bioeconomy<\/strong>, held on <strong>September 15\u201319<\/strong> in Athens, under the theme <strong>\u201cFostering Collaboration in Industry &amp; Academia.\u201d<\/strong> The Forum served as a key reference point for the international scientific and business community, bringing together leading representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, academic research, and innovation, with the aim of strengthening dialogue and strategic collaborations that will shape the future of health.<\/p>\n<p>PIF was represented by <strong>Ms. <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pifgreece.gr\/en\/board-of-directors\/labrina-barmpetaki\/\"><strong>Labrina Barmpetaki<\/strong><\/a><strong>, President of PhARMA Innovation and Managing Director of AbbVie Greece, Cyprus, and Malta<\/strong>, as well as <strong>Mr. Ioannis Kotsiopoulos, General Manager<\/strong> of PIF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ms. Barmpetaki<\/strong> participated in the panel titled <strong><em>\u201cVisionary Leadership in Pharma: Building the Next Healthcare Paradigm\u201d, <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0where she highlighted the major challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry today. As she emphasized, <strong>\u201cthe lack of predictability, doubts about the accessibility of systems, and questioning of their sustainability are three critical factors that shape the environment in which we are called to operate\u201d. <\/strong>\u00a0She also underlined that \u201c<em>the goal is to turn policies into catalysts rather than obstacles for innovation, so that patients can access the treatments they need at the right time.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In her remarks, she focused on the role of purpose-driven leadership, stating: <strong>\u201c<em>A visionary leader is one who can unite people around a common purpose -and for us, that purpose is always the patient.<\/em><\/strong><em> Purpose-driven leadership can overcome obstacles, turn challenges into opportunities, and propel us forward. <strong>We do not follow, we shape<\/strong>. This is also the role of PIF: to contribute to public discourse, make the country more competitive, and create the conditions for sustainable development in healthcare.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Referring to the future of the pharmaceutical industry, she emphasized that innovation is not limited to medicine but extends to services, data, and technologies. <strong><em>\u201cThe future lies in partnerships with technology providers, startups, and institutions.<\/em><\/strong><em> These collaborations are the \u2018holy grail\u2019 of tomorrow\u2019s pharmaceutical industry, as only through them can we ensure effectiveness, compliance, and sustainable healthcare solutions\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, she highlighted the value of resilience and the need to nurture the next generation: <strong><em>\u201cLeadership is a responsibility.<\/em><\/strong> <em>We must empower new skills, bring fresh ideas, and give a voice to the next generation. <strong>And above all, we must remember to celebrate the small victories, because these are what lead to the big changes\u201d.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>On his part, <strong>PIF\u2019s General Manager, Mr. Ioannis Kotsiopoulos<\/strong>, chaired the panel titled <strong><em>\u201cThe Digital Health Innovation: Patient Data as the Driver of Innovation in Biotech\u201d. <\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>The discussion focused on the importance of structured and compatible information, the applications of data in biotechnology and digital health, as well as the necessary collaboration models that will allow innovation to grow and be sustained over time.<\/p>\n<p>Through its participation in the Bio3 Forum 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pifgreece.gr\/en\/\"><strong>PhARMA Innovation<\/strong><\/a> reaffirmed its strategic role as an institutional interlocutor in the healthcare sector.
